Euthanasia

Unfortunately, there comes a time in every pet’s life when their quality of life begins to decline and we are faced with the most difficult decision: putting a beloved family member to sleep. At Marvan-Kroll Veterinary Clinic, we guide you and your pet through this process with the utmost care, calm and respect.

We take plenty of time for this final farewell, so that you can be together in peace and without any time pressure.

Our services:

We do everything we can to ensure the process is completely pain- and stress-free for your pet. Our care includes, amongst other things:

  • General anaesthesia: Before the final injection is administered, your pet will receive an initial injection to help them fall into a deep, peaceful sleep. As with any injection, this may be felt briefly, but we do everything we can to ensure this moment is as calm and comfortable as possible. Once in a deep sleep, your pet will feel nothing of the final procedure and will pass away peacefully.
  • Family presence: We understand that a pet is part of the family. You are therefore very welcome to be present with the whole family during the farewell.
  • Euthanasia at home: For animals that experience significant stress during a visit to the clinic, it is possible to arrange for euthanasia to take place at your home. In the familiar surroundings of their own home, the farewell is often more peaceful.
  • Support with next steps: Prior to the farewell, we will calmly discuss the options for the final resting place. We work closely with a respectful animal crematorium.
